The tough luck streak continued yesterday, For the fourth time in the past week, the parlay just barely misses. This time, it was at the fault of the Lightning, who somehow lost 4-1 at home to the Predators… Extremely unfortunate, but it is what it is. Also, I am going to start suggesting to my readers to take every bet I have in the parlay as a straight bet as well. Considering my record, had anybody done that for every pick featured on Clay’s Plays to date, you would have been a good amount of money. Sorry ahead of time for the heavy favorites on todays picks, but I want to give you guys the 6 best value picks I can find, that also I realistically think will win. Overall Record: 39-19

Analysis:

The Lakers just had a dominating win against Steph Curry and the Warriors last night in The Bay Area. Lakers at home, tonight against the Timberwolves should be an easy win. Ride for sure

Hurricanes continue to be a guaranteed lock nightly, and I have no reason to believe that ends tonight. They face Detroit tonight, whom they just beat on Sunday, and I feel good that they will do it once again.

Sloane Stephens has had a very tough go of it recently. It seemed she was on her way to the top of the WTA for years to come after winning her first grand clam a few years ago. However, between injuries and inconsistent play, that has not been the case. Regardless, she is going up against an opponent ranked 151 in the world with a very underwhelming record, I expect Sloane to pull this out.

Heather Watson goes up against fellow Brit, Harriet Dart. Just based on who these women are, and Watson’s success on the tour, I expect her to beat her younger countrymen fairly easily.

Schwartzman is coming off a recent championship win at the Argentina Open. He is the third seed in this tournament and starts his run off against qualifier Lorenzo Musetti. Expect the consistent veteran to handle Musetti easily here.

Dimitrov hasn’t played since his impressive run at the Australian Open, which including defeating Dominic Thiem. He faces veteran Adrian Mannarino, who does not have great results in his past few tournaments. Despite the potential for a little rust on Dimitrov, I feel confident that he beats Mannarino in this matchup.
