Famous rappers frequently watch Miami Heat games from the courtside.

The Heat have had many icons sit row 1, including Trick Daddy, Pit Bull, and Rick Ross. J. Cole did it as well on Thursday night and even received a new City Edition jersey as a present from the team.

J. Cole, who has a good relationship with Heat forward Caleb Martin, had an even better night. According to a Roderick Boone article from the Charlotte Observer from last year, J. Cole, who has a wealth of basketball experience, played a crucial role by letting Heat assistant Caron Butler know about Martin's skill.

“Yeah, that’s my man,” Caleb Martin said in an interview. “It shows that even though he’s accomplished a lot of things ... and he’s got so many other things to worry about, he worries about his people. And it’s dope he considers me one of his people, that he takes into account and he knew my situation. He saw me working in the gym every day and you could just tell he appreciates guys who grinds like he does and so that’s a blessing for him to lend a hand out there and do what he could.”
