Jackie Moon Returns By Shaun Petipas

It was a legendary Tuesday night at Chase Center as during warmups the owner, coach and player for the fictional Flint Tropics, Jackie Moon, made an appearance. Will Ferrell brought out his legendary fictional ABA character and was sporting the vintage short shorts, tropics jersey, jacket and signature headband. Moon came running out of the tunnel with the Warriors and wasn’t afraid to teach the splash brothers a thing or two at the free throw line with his patented underhand shot.

Moon also showed off his range as he drilled a half-court shot like he was Steph Curry and actually connected with Curry on the play that Moon created, an alley-oop. The trio spent time guarding one another and sharing tips about how to play the game like Jackie Moon.

Moon looked like he belonged in the NBA and he has plenty of comments after the warmup.

“I make those in my sleep,” Moon said about his half court shot. He continued “I’m under contract, so this is the first tryout with this team, let’s see what happens.

Curry and Thompson combined for 35 points in the win over the Clippers following the Moon stunt and I’m sure they’ll be keeping in touch with Moon as the playoffs approach and a possible NBA championship run ahead.
