Miles Teller, Top Gun superstar and lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan, attended Saturday night's game at Citizens Bank Park to support his team as they played the San Diego Padres in game four of the National League Championship Series. When the Phillies and San Diego Padres leveled the game 6-6 on Saturday, the FOX broadcast crew captured Teller on video celebrating. The San Diego Padres had once led the game 4-0.
Teller was seen having a good time and waving a rally towel Saturday night in the Phillies crowd relatively behind home plate. However it wasn't the first game of the series that Teller attended.
Downington, Pennsylvania is where Teller was born. At the age of twelve, his family relocated to Citrus County, Florida from their early residences in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Teller dreamed of playing in the major league while still in high school and played baseball competitively.
Even though he didn't get the chance to pursue his passion of becoming a professional baseball player, he achieved the next best thing by turning into a well-known actor in blockbuster films. His movie Top Gun: Maverick, which debuted in the spring, has amassed a global gross of 1.454 billion as of October 21. In the 2012 movie Project X, Teller appeared as an imagined version of himself as he was a USC baseball player .
