The NBA's annual trip to Paris featured a star-studded lineup of courtside celebrities, including projected No. 1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama. Wembanyama, a French phenom, is widely expected to be the first pick in the 2023 draft, and he got an early look at the Detroit Pistons, one of the teams with the best lottery odds to land him. Before tip-off, Wembanyama was mobbed for photos, but he was not alone; Lakers legend Magic Johnson and singer Pharrell Williams also took their seats courtside. Among the familiar faces who stole the show were rapper Lil Baby and TikTok star Khaby Lame. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver gave French NBA fans hope when he announced that the league will return to Paris in 2023.
